Fergie sets sights on £20m Modric

Sir Alex Ferguson is set to begin a summer of rebuilding with a £20 million bid for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Luka Modric.
Manchester United's hopes of landing their fourth European Cup title were dashed by the Barcelona, who underlined the English champions' need to strengthen and rebuild with a convincing 3-1 win at Wembley on Saturday.
Now according to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Ferguson is preparing an audacious bid for Modric, whom he has admired for some time.
With veterans Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs ready to retire anytime, the United supremo sees the Croatian playmaker as the player to lead the midfield revolution at Old Trafford.
But it remains to be seen if Harry Redknapp will be willing to let his prized asset go as Spurs plot a return to the Champions League next season.
Meanwhile, United are also poised to launch a bid for Aston Villa's Ashley Young, but face competition from rivals Liverpool.
