Because of Gomis' equalizer Lyon were able to hold on 1-1 draw. However Real madrid are favorite to go forward to quarter finals.
Karim Benzema, who scored the only goal for real madrid , was not included in starting eleven against his former club. He replaced Adebayor in second half and scored a goal(64th minute) in no time.
Here Chelsea proved that they are alive with the help of two cracking goals by Nicolas Anelka. They have pretty much secured their place in quarter finals of the champions league.
