A very entertaining game at the Molineux ended in a draw when Scotsman Steven Fletcher headed a goal in the last five minutes of the match. Wolves would have won this match if Referee had allowed Richard Stearman's goal, which the ref thought was a foul on Tottenham Goalkeeper Huerelho Gomes, but the replay suggested there was not much in it and the goal should have standed.
The draw doesn't really help either sides for Tottenham to be in the top four and for the wolves to avoid relegation. Tottenham welcomed back their "baleful" winger Gareth Bale after he was out injured for a long period.
The first goal was scored by Kevin Doyle, when he headed in a cross by Nenad Milijas. Few minutes later Jermaine Defoe ended his 1-year goal drought in open play by a terrific strike which gave Wolves keeper Henessy no chance, another few minutes and Jermain Defoe scored another goal, adding two to his name.
In the 40th minute Milijas was fouled by Alan Hutton in the penalty box and was very lucky to escape with just a yellow card. Kevin Doyle converted the penalty, equalizing the scoreline 2-2. After few minutes Tottenham scored another terrific goal, this time it was by the Russian Roman Pavlyuchenko, and Spurs led the scoreline 3-2. In the final few minutes Steven Fletcher headed home a goal from a cross by the impressive Matt Jarvis. Tottenham stay 5th on the table with 48 points and Wolves at 19th with 29 points.
