UEFA CL Results 2ng leg- Red Devils knock Chelsea Out, Barca win at Shakhtar

On Tuesday night at Old Trafford in an all English Battle, Manchester United came on top securing their semis birth.But for Chelsea,it was disappointment once again as they cant end their European jinx.Both Teams started very well,playing with high intensity and Chelsea once again started with misfiring Spaniard Fernando Torres ahead of Didier Drogba.Ryan Giggs had a chance to give Manchester the lead from Hernandez cross, but his shot went wide.Then Hernandez goal was ruled out due to off side but replays showed that he was in line with the last defender.But in 43rd minute,it was once again Ryan Giggs brilliant run into the box which provided easy taping for Hernandez.

We have to mention that Javier Hernandez ('CHICHARITO') looks a natural goalscorer and his off the ball movements are exceptional and always at right place at the right time.

In the 2nd half Chelsea brought on Drogba in place of Torres as Chelsea started to push further to keep Van Der Sar on his toes.In 70th Minute Ramires was sent off for his tackle on Nani for his 2nd yellow card.Drogba equalized in the 76th minute,controlling the long ball on his chest and putting past Van Der Sar to give Chelsea some hope.But few seconds later,Brilliant Manchester attack saw regaining their lead on the night through goal from Ji Sung Park provided once again by Ryan Giggs dashing hopes of Chelsea.It was complete team effort from Red Devils.Nemanja Vidic and Ryan Giggs were Outstanding on the night.Thus Chelsea still have to wait for European Glory.It looks like Ancelotti is not in control of things happening at the club.

In the other match, Barca Beat Shakhtar 1-0 at intimidating Donbass Arena through Lionel Messi lone goal.In the early stages,home side started brightly and Valdes had to make 1 or 2 good saves.But after 15 minutes or so,Barcelona settled in their usual game.Messi once again was looking threatening running at the defenses.In the 43rd minute Dani Alves provided ball to Messi,just outside the box and it was an instinctive strike from Argentinian when ball came at his feet and put it past the keeper to give them 1-0 lead taking his season tally to 48 goals equaling Spanish record still with 7 weeks to go for the Season.

In the 2nd half Barca once again were the dominating team and Lionel Messi ran at the defense and provided ball for Afellay but it was brilliantly save by Keeper.Pedro who came on as a Substitute had a chance but he fired the shot way above the post.Shakhtar had a great opportunity to get equalizer in the last stages but they failed as shot went just wide.

It looks like possible El Clasico in the Semis Real having their chance to secure their Semis birth on Wednesday at Spurs.
